Our 16-week 3rd Grade Reading Program helps students transition from learning to read toward reading to learn. Students attend two 60-minute live lessons per week (32 lessons total) in small cohorts of up to 6 students.
Students strengthen essential reading skills, including:
-
Multisyllabic Word Decoding: Applying syllable division patterns to increasingly complex words.
-
Morphology & Vocabulary: Using prefixes, suffixes, roots, and context clues to determine word meanings.
-
Reading Fluency: Improving accuracy, expression, and efficient reading of grade-level passages.
-
Main Idea & Supporting Details: Identifying central ideas and the evidence that supports them.
-
Inference & Critical Thinking: Drawing conclusions using information from the text.
-
Literary & Informational Texts: Analyzing story elements, text structures, author's purpose, and key information.
-
Text Evidence: Supporting written and verbal responses with relevant details from a passage.
Lessons integrate structured literacy instruction with deeper comprehension practice to help students confidently navigate more challenging texts.
Lesson recordings are available for review, additional practice, or missed classes.
