I understand that teaching for Shields Scholars is 100% remote, online teaching.

I understand that teaching for Shields Scholars is an independent contractor opportunity.

I will agree to a criminal background check.

I am physically located and have the legal right to work in The United States

I confirm that I am NOT located in California, New York, Massachusetts, New Jersey, Illinois, or Washington.

I understand that Shields Scholars does not offer full-time hours OR benefits

I confirm that I do NOT already teach on Outschool in any capacity already

I agree to receiving payment via PayPal

I can work a minimum of 10 teaching hours per week (Choose your own hours within peak booking times).

I understand that pay is per student NOT per hour. This ranges from about $16-$50/hr depending on how many students enroll. 1:1 classes are paid out at $21/hr adjusted for length of lesson.

I understand online teaching requires high speed internet, use of a webcam with good lighting, and good audio. If offered a contract, these things are required before teaching your first class.

I am willing to teach only the Shields Scholars curriculum as provided.

I have availability during peak booking times for: Mon-Thurs after-school hours (3–9 pm Pacific) and/or Fri-Sun (5 am-9 pm Pacific)
