Live, interactive writing lessons designed to strengthen paragraph writing and written expression—one step at a time.

Writing Can Be Puzzling: 2nd Grade is a 16-week live group course designed for second grade students who need structured, engaging writing instruction in a supportive learning environment.

Classes meet twice per week, and each lesson is 45 minutes long, providing consistent practice while giving students time to develop stronger organization, clarity, and confidence in their writing.

How the Course Works

Upon enrollment, students receive immediate access to their learning portal. This portal is where:

  • All course materials are housed

  • Students join their live lessons

Live + Interactive Learning

Every lesson is:

  • Taught live by a section teacher

  • Fully interactive using Nearpod

Nearpod lessons are aligned directly to each live class and are used during instruction for interactive writing activities, visuals, drag-and-drop exercises, sentence-building tasks, and guided paragraph writing. After class, students can revisit the same Nearpod lessons in student-paced mode to support additional practice and skill reinforcement.
